This downloadable PDF intermediate level pattern includes full-size pattern pieces and step-by-step photo instructions to create a layering vest designed to fit 18-inch dolls such as American Girl™. Features include light padding, full flannel lining, front snap closures and side tab details, all enhanced with lots of topstitching.
This Layering Vest was designed to be compatible with the rest of the Chill Chasers Collection, which includes the Fleece Hoodie and Flannel-Lined Snow Pants. All three pieces are designed to be worn together over a very thin base layer of clothing as one outerwear ensemble for 18-inch dolls. For this reason, take care in choosing your fabrics to avoid excess bulk.
• MAIN FABRIC: 1/4 yard fashion fabric (cotton, lightweight denim or twill, broadcloth)
• LINING FABRIC: 1/4 yard flannel
• 1/4 yard fusible fleece (such as Pellon™ One-Sided Low Loft Fusible Fleece)
• Nine 3/8-inch (9mm) button snap sets (ie. KAMsnaps™)
