About Matilda Jo Originals
Founded in the summer of 2014 by designer Kristin Rutten, Matilda Jo Originals offers original sewing and project patterns designed for use with 18-inch dolls such as American Girl™ as well as 14.5-inch dolls such as WellieWishers™.
Clothing and accessory patterns for dolls are published under the Matilda’s Closet label, while PVC doll furniture projects are shared under the AptOne8 brand.
All Matilda Jo Originals patterns are designed to be user-friendly, including clear step-by-step instructions supported by full-color photos. Patterns are fully tested before release to ensure all pieces fit together well and instructions are easy to follow. Online assistance is also available for those who need it via the site Contact Us page.
All patterns are available in downloadable PDF format, while a growing collection are also offered in soft-cover book format. All available products can be purchased directly in the Club Matilda Shop.
