Your active 18-inch girl will be ready to host a range of sports with this versatile sports net system constructed of PVC pipe, including volleyball, tennis, badminton and any other activity requiring a free-standing net.
These PDF project plans start with step-by-step photo instructions for building a convertible net frame. Use the frame at full height for games such as volleyball or badminton. When it's time for a game such as tennis that uses a lower net, simply unhook the net from the side clips, remove the upper portion of the frame's poles, and reposition the net on the lower poles. Basic measurement skills, as well as the ability to use simple hand tools, are required for this part of the project.
Also included are instructions for two types of nets - mesh and crocheted. The mesh net is suitable for most beginners, whereas intermediate crochet skills are needed for the crocheted net. Neither style requires sewing. Duct tape is used as the binding for both net styles. Try patterned duct tape for a creative touch!
